Slippery Fish
I was in the nursery during church for a few minutes last month and heard part of this song and I thought it was so cute I went back on Sunday to learn the entire thing. I hope you enjoy it.
Cool Music Video
You gotta love good music. My husband’s cousin had a link up to this video and I loved it and wanted to share it. Jon Schmit is a pianist. He arranges, plays and sings music. He and cellist Steve Sharp Nelson arranged Taylor Swift’s song “Love Story” and I have to say that it is excellent. And the reason they did it was because Jon’s 7 year old daughter loves this song. I almost laughed out loud when I heard that because several weeks ago we went to my husband’s Company Picnic and they were playing music over the loud speakers. Well they played “Love Story” and there was a little girl on the swing set, eating a sno-cone, she was probably 6 or 7 and was just belting it out. Then when it was over she said, “I love that song.” She was just so adorable I had to take a picture.

Underground Music Scene

To be honest I know next to nothing about the Underground Music Scene, but my brother in law has a friend who prides himself on it and it was through these very people that we found an awesome band. Sherwood is great, alternative music that is clean with no crazy hysterics. It’s a new sound that is reminiscent of Third Eye Blind, but very different at the same time with a mix of several influences from techno-ish to beat boxing to classical. Their music is upbeat and definitely makes you want to head-bang while listening. Check them out! The link goes to their MySpace page where you can listen to entire songs and get to know them a little better. We really like them and bought their album. I’d like to know what you think and if Sherwood brings out your inner head-banger.
