Halloween Spider Webs

Spider Web Plate

We did these cute spider web plates last year at Halloween and I had to post them.

Plate and Yarn

What you Need:
Paper Plates
Yarn (a lot)
Hand-held Hole Punch

1. Punch Holes around the outside of the plate.

Punch Hole Around Plate

2. Tie yarn around a hole to keep it secure and thread as you please. This takes more yarn than you think so be generous with what you cut.

Knot and Thread

If you have those ring-spiders you can thread them onto the web, or add your own homemade spiders later! This is a fun craft that can take some time to thread but helps your children learn eye-hand coordination.

  1. This is a great idea. Thanks! We even have the spiders to go with it. I’m totally doing this for preschool next Monday.

  2. Hi there,
I’m pulling together a roundup of Halloween crafts for iVillage.com’s Pregnancy & Parenting section, and I’d love to include this craft. Can you email me asap with your permission to include it? We will, of course, mention and link back to your website.

    Such a great idea~!
