Things I’ve Learned so Far

Here are a few things I’ve learned in the short time I’ve been a mom. Feel free to add some of your wisdom in the comments!

-Never dump your toddler’s laundry basket into the washer, you never know what’s in there.

-When checking for a dirty diaper, PAY ATTENTION or you may grab too far down and get your hand… dirty. *yuck*

-Write down cute things your kids do or say.

-Sometimes getting some chicken nuggets at McDonald’s will save your sanity and your afternoon.

-Always keep chocolate in the house… in a hard to reach place so it’s reserved for stressful days!

-Have your kids pick up their own toys. Seriously.

-Once your child learns to unzip their footie pajamas be sure not to leave them alone in their room too long or you’ll find them naked.

-NEVER leave crayons in your toddler’s reach. E-V-E-R.

-Read with your kids everyday.

-Get out the sleeping bags and throw them on the living room floor and watching movies with your kiddos.

-Have dance parties.

-Don’t stick your finger in your kid’s mouth once they get teeth. These seems obvious but everyone seems to do it.

-Praise your child for good behavior.

-Take a mommy time out when you get mad.

-Be silly with your kiddo.

-Follow through with what you say.

-Give lots of hugs and kisses.

-Have family time.
